Bath toys!

Kailey was so excited to unwrap bath toys from Melissa and Mark.  The set includes a kitty and a puppy that Kailey can dress up with cute little outfits.  Our daughter's bath time is now breaking endurance and water temperature records as bath time lasts for about and hour now and the water is no longer warm by the time mommy can pry her out of the tub.  Mommy has to admit that dressing up the kitty and puppy is pretty fun for her too.

Thank You Heidi and Huckba

Kailey was promoted to forest fairy this Christmas with a pair of wings from Heidi and Huckba.  She's been practicing her flying technique ever since.  We also loved our fish shaped cookie cutter.  I made sugar cookies with it over the holidays.  The cookies looked great but tasted terrible.  Oh well....back to packaged cookie mix.

Christmas Morning

Kailey was beside herself to find a slide in the middle of the living room on Christmas morning.  She went down it about 150 times before breakfast.  She was also thrilled to get a beautiful Christmas quilt made by the loving hand of her Grandma Leah.

Twas Two Days Before Christmas

A few days before Christmas, we took our family photo on Daddy's Christmas, Birthday and Father's Day present....the tractor.  Then we decorated the tree. This was the first year that Kailey could appreciate the wonder of hanging stuff off of a large plant

placed in the middle of your living room. Grandma Laura and Grandpa Jim came to visit, and Kailey opened one of her first presents of the holiday.  A Barney Sing-a-long book.  It took Kailey a while to figure out that ripping wrapping paper is ok.  

These Boots Were Made For Walkin'

Our good friends, Cathy and Fred, gave Kailey a great pair of pink rain boots when she was just a wee little thing. I'm sure their daughter, Laura had a hand in picking out boots perfect for a sweet little girl.  We love these boots as we've got a lot of rain and snow right now.  If you want to go outside around here, you have to put up with wearing a lot of gear.  Might as well look fabulous while you're at it:)

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

It started to snow a week and a half before Christmas and covered our place in about 3 feet of snow.  We were thrilled to have a winter wonderland for the holidays.  We bought a tractor last summer because snow removal last year with the plow attached to the lawn mower didn't work out too well.  It took Michael hours just to plow the driveway.  The new tractor works great especially with twice the snow we got this year.  We've even been able to help our neighbors with their driveway a few times.
